Frequently asked questions
- Is the converted Word file really editable?
- Yes. You'll get a standard .docx you can open and edit in Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Apple Pages or LibreOffice.
- Do you keep or upload my PDF?
- No. The conversion runs entirely in your browser. Your PDF is never uploaded to a server.
- What about scanned PDFs?
- Scanned pages are handled with built-in OCR (English). Text is extracted from the images in your browser and added to the Word document. Complex handwriting or low-quality scans may reduce accuracy.
- Will the layout look identical to the PDF?
- We preserve paragraphs, headings and page order as closely as possible. Complex multi-column layouts, embedded fonts or tables may shift slightly in the .docx.
- Is there a file size limit?
- No hard limit — very large PDFs simply take a bit longer since everything is processed on your device.
